Call for Submissions

Talks

Whether you plan to organize a panel or hold a presentation of your own, we are open to hear your ideas! You can choose between a Lightning (~10min), short (~25min) or a long (~50min) time slot, and we will automatically set aside some audience QA time if you need it.

Workshops

Depending on the amount of workshops and interest we will be hosting a workshop track. Help us showcase the Godot Engine’s capabilities by teaching your fellow developers a new skill. The duration of a workshop can be from 1 to 2 hours.

Games/Projects

Parts of the venue will be dedicated to an exhibition of Godot games/projects and we would love to have you there. The layout is still in planning and details will depend on the amount of submissions we get.

FAQ

General

Who is this conference intended for?

The goal of GodotCon is to provide an opportunity for community members to meet in person, exchange knowledge, form business contacts, and to introduce new people to the Godot project. Therefore it targets no particular skill level nor occupation over another, ideally becoming a melting pot of various user backgrounds. So if you are in any way interested in the Godot Engine, this is the right conference for you!

Can my company become a sponsor?

Yes! If you are interested in sponsoring the event, check out our sponsorship opportunities. You should write to [email protected].

Can I showcase my game? Or submit a talk/workshop proposal

Fill out this form, we would love to hear about your projects and ideas! We cannot accept every submission, but we will email you about our decision either way. This means that while we do set aside tickets for our speakers and exhibitors, you should purchase one if you plan to attend either way.

Will the conference be livestreamed?

No. Talks will be recorded and uploaded to the Godot Engine YouTube channel after the conference, but there will be no live streams during the event.

Is the first day only for workshops?

Yes. The first day of the conference, Monday July 20th, will be dedicated to workshops. You can purchase a ticket that includes access to the workshops, or just attend the conference on Tuesday the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd. Depending on the demand we might make changes to the schedule and the venue.

Is there any food or drink included?

Yes, there is a light breakfast and lunch included. Water, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the day.

What is the next European event?

The next European event will be GodotFest in Munich on November 11th and 12th.

Workshops

What should I bring to a workshop?

Workshops are a hands-on lesson. You will need to provide your own laptop and power cable. (And your ticket.)

Does my Speaker/Showcase/Standard/Earlybird Ticket entitle me to attend workshops?

No. Workshops are an add-on that can be purchased at check out. There is a much smaller quantity due to the hands-on nature and thus are not included in any special ticket types unless explicitly purchased.

What workshops will there be?

Workshops will be fully announced alongside talks in early June. Check out last year's workshops via Youtube for an idea of what might be offered this year. (Though we can't control what folks submit!)
